Flesh
The soft pulp is the most nutritious food for Moroccan goats, and this delicious pulp is also the main reason why they know to go to the nut tree. In the process of nut oil production, the pulp removed by machine or hand will also be used to feed local animals.
Nuts
Hard nuts can be further divided into two categories. The nuts on the right that have only two sides can only have two cores, while the nuts on the left that have three sides can have 2-3 cores.
Nuts shell
The nut shells left after the female workers crush the nuts are neither nutritious nor digestible, but they still have value in the production process. Manufacturers use this resource as the main fuel for baking.
Kernels
The most important raw materials for producing nut oil are about 2.5 kg of nuts and about 32 kg of nuts including pulp. Each female worker can produce about 1-1.5 kg of nuts in 10 hours of work per day, which means it takes about two days of work to produce 1 liter of nut oil. It is obvious that the production of nut oil, which is known as "Liquid Gold", is not easy to come by. It takes more time and resources than producing the same amount of gold.
Zegmouna
The tiny pieces of pomace are a byproduct of the nut kernels that are squeezed out by the machine during the virgin pressing of nut oil. The pomace that is considered waste is not wasted and is generally used as feed.
Some producers of inferior quality will use these nut pomace to mix with nut oil and then squeeze it again to extract more nut oil. These are still 100% nut oil ingredients and are still popular with buyers because of their relatively low prices in the market. Even local experts find it difficult to distinguish them, but of course the quality and nutritional value cannot be compared with the first squeezed ones.
